Courage in {Refugee} Crisis: Mastering the Media

It's an interesting thing to hear the point of view that the media is sharing with the American people. And as so many are asking, What is actually True? I sense the need to share what I do see from here.
I've seen the recapitulations and the reports of the refugee crisis, and I have to question this for a few reasons.

When I was a kid, I remember people older than me saying to each other, "You can't trust the media, You can't believe everything you see!" I understand that now. Film crews do love a good story.
But do we believe all that we see? We are not to be led by the blind.
The people reporting know what 'terror' can bring to the hearts of the viewers; It grips people so that they can watch nothing else.
 { But those reporting-- they are terrified themselves! }
Jesus replied, “Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted, so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:13-14

We know as Christians that our constant Anchor & Compass is The Lord Jesus Christ. We know the end of the story if we have a Bible in our hands! He alone is our sure foundation.
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul,
firm and secure. "  Hebrews 6:19

Our goal as Christians is to share the love of Christ no matter who they are!

And I know that it's Not always easy, even prejudices can rise up daily in our hearts, but as we get closer to the God who loves us and teaches us, In Faith we learn to let God grow love in our hearts-for others.

Fear did not help the early church, Faith did.

I understand your concerns.

"A ship in harbor is safe- but that is not what ships are for".
Looking through a pile of rubbled leftovers,
we were able to find shoes for these people from Afghanistan.
Such sweet ones!
I haven't seen the videos,
but I have seen the people for real and -they are just like you and me! They are leaving because of the ISIS. If some have 'different intentions' ( what some may fear ), who knows what can happen when God brings them to the people who are praying for them?
Think of Paul; God used him as one of the biggest inspirations/ encouragers in the Bible, and even our lives today--and he was on the road to Damascus to  persecute Christians when God got a hold of his heart.

We are capable of being just like him.
But do we want to be like him Before or After he met Christ on the road to Damascus?

I encourage you to pray into these fears and for the people. We don't know how long we will have this window.
What we do know is God is Mighty and Faithful. And he has brought favor to His church here in Hungary.

And we want to help.

He's bringing them to us.
What will you do with what He's asked you to do?
I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. " John 13:15

"In this world you will have trouble, but be brave [take courage/heart]! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

I would encourage you, Friend, if you are fearful, to take it all to our Father in Heaven in Prayer. There we can find rest and courage for our souls.

Keeping you updated,
Much Love in Jesus,
